Mindfulness Skills for Depression & Anxiety

This 8 week therapy group offers systematic training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for people who are dealing with depression, anxiety and other distressing emotions. MBCT is a well-researched therapy and has been shown to be effective in preventing reoccurrence of depression and in reducing stress and anxiety.

This group will support you to:

  • develop a new understanding of how you get entangled in negative moods
  • cultivate "mindfulness", a meditation practice that offers an alternative to depressive patterns
  • learn new ways to relate to your thoughts and feelings
  • practice skills that create and maintain positive mental health

Who should attend: Anyone who is experiencing moderate depression and/or anxiety and clients who have a history of depression.
